As demand for home improvement and construction projects has grown, Kelly-Moore Paints has teamed up with Walmart GoLocal to ensure exceptional customer service—both inside and outside of their stores.
For more than a year, Kelly-Moore Paints has worked with Walmart GoLocal to expand its local delivery, allowing customers to receive high quality items like primers, interior, exterior and specialty paints, brushes, and rollers more quickly and giving employees the capacity to remain in store to provide the excellent service they’re known for.
The leading independent paint retailer—with more than 1,200 employees across 280 retail outlets in California, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Texas—operated its own internal delivery fleet for years but saw an opportunity to work with Walmart GoLocal to augment and optimize its delivery service. Now Kelly-Moore Paints uses Walmart GoLocal’s delivery platform to not only deliver products with same-day delivery to their customers, including paint contractors and other trade professionals, but also to balance inventory between stores so that stock is available where it is most needed.
This fast and convenient delivery is essential to keep up with the consistent rise in construction spending. According to the Joint Center for Housing Centers of Harvard University, U.S. home improvement project spending increased from $328 billion in 2019 to $472 billion in 2022, with an estimated 2023 spending of $485 billion. By leveraging the Walmart GoLocal platform for delivery, Kelly-Moore employees can spend less time on logistics and more time on selling paint and providing exceptional client service. Customers no longer need to interrupt their work progress with frequent trips to the paint store.
