Walmart GoLocal discusses delivery solutions on BloomNet podcast

Yogi Patel, a florist with two 1-800-FLOWERS | Conroy’s shops in California, nearly doubled his business after the pandemic with the help of Walmart GoLocal’s delivery solutions. Patel discusses the many benefits of Walmart GoLocal on the BloomCast podcast from BloomNet. BloomNet® is an international floral and gift industry service provider that offers products and services designed to help members grow their businesses profitably. The brand recently launched BloomCast to ensure their florists have the best technology, the most comprehensive education, and the highest levels of support. The first episode dives into the importance of delivery and how Walmart GoLocal delivery solutions are benefiting florists like Patel and customers across the country.

Walmart GoLocal and BloomNet have been teaming up for more than a year to help BloomNet member florists reach customers with reliable, same-day delivery. Walmart GoLocal is a white-label, delivery service platform that offers reliable, same-day delivery to businesses of all sizes, backed by the size and scale of Walmart. By letting Walmart GoLocal handle the logistics of delivery, florists can focus on serving their customers and creating stunning arrangements.

Patel, who owns two floral shops in Inglewood and Cypress, CA, credits Walmart GoLocal with the health of his business post-pandemic.

“With our two shops, we have been able to cover 80% of Orange County and 80% of Los Angeles County, which are the two biggest markets in southern California,” shares Patel. “It’s made life a lot easier for us…in terms of driver reliability and cost-efficiency.”

Patel has increased his business to 80 to 100 deliveries per day, offering same-day and next-day delivery, including one-hour deliveries for perishable or time-sensitive items. Multiple orders can also be delivered by one driver at the same time – called batched deliveries – for further cost savings.

BloomNet and 1-800-Flowers.com® is offering a more seamless delivery experience for its shop owners and customers with Walmart GoLocal features, including easy enrollment and customization based on shop requirements, and photo proof of delivery for every order. According to 1-800-Flowers.com, orders with photo delivery confirmation are three times less likely to have customer delivery concerns, a major benefit for their florists and customers.
